CrossFit Cyprium will scale every workout according to your fitness level and capability as an individual. We would never push you unless we know you can handle the intended workout, movement or weight. You can join any class on the schedule for a FREE 1 week trial. An experienced and friendly coach will assist during the class, ensuring that you are safe and understand what’s going on, simplifying the “CrossFit lingo”.  If you are not sure about your current fitness level see FAQs.

CrossFit is a type of fitness training that will make you stronger, fitter, tougher, more toned and help you build muscle, through a wide range of functional, full-body exercises such as weightlifting, gymnastics, running, swimming and many other disciplines. It uses varying degrees of intensity and timing in order to test your body in different ways. CrossFit is perfect for individuals who love a challenge, get bored of traditional routines, enjoy learning new skills, want to look good, feel great and take pride in their health and fitness.

Yes. CrossFit training is very safe. Sitting on your couch is dangerous. We work with credentialed trainers who provide precise instructions and coaching to help people move safely and efficiently, helping them avoid diseases and injuries that come from inactivity, obesity and poor nutrition.

Although CrossFit seems intensive and strenuous, it’s certainly scalable. If you’re struggling to perform your workout as instructed, you’re allowed to do what you can. For instance, you’re instructed to perform pull-ups, but you just can’t do it, you’re allowed to improvise and perform jumping pull-ups or ring rows instead.

CrossFit, as performed in our facility, is very safe due to three basic concepts: mechanics, consistency, and intensity. You must learn to do the movements safely and consistently before we up the intensity. Furthermore, you are always under the watchful eye of one of our trainers every time you step foot in the box. That said, we’d be ignorant to say that you can’t ever get hurt here. We don’t train to purposely hurt ourselves, but sometimes it happens; injuries are just a part of fitness life.

Regardless of your fitness goals (i.e. increased strength, weight-loss, special race/event prep, etc.), nutrition is the driving force behind these ambitions. Establishing proper eating patterns will not only fuel your body for the workouts, but aid in energizing it throughout your day. Failing to get your nutritional intake in check will result in slowed progress with our program. The basic concept behind eating the right things in the right portions is simple: Eat meat, vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruits, minimal amounts of starch and NO sugar.

This is mostly directed at the ladies… NO. You don’t produce testosterone like the guys, plus you won’t be training 24 hours a day 7 days a week, so you will not get “big”, but you will get toned. For the fellas, the size you want to gain or lose will be largely determined by your nutrition.

Normal workout clothes (t-shirt, shorts, comfy shoes), a towel, a water bottle and a can-do attitude.

Yes, at Crossfit Cyprium we have clean premium separate male and female showers and bathrooms, with shared steam rooms, warm baths and ice baths.

Yes, there are 120 safe parking bays free of charge inside security monitored gates. Our security staff let you reverse on your own and they do not ask for an assistance fee (we pay them handsomely).

CrossFit is about variance and adaptation. We “program” our workouts for General Physical Preparedness, or GPP. We don’t have leg days, back- and bi- days, or cardio days. We believe the body is a whole system and should therefore be strengthened as a whole. The best part is, a qualified coach leads every workout and you’re joined by like-minded people with similar fitness and health related goals.

Yes. Due to the high intensity of these shorter workouts, accompanied with longer workouts on other days, a 12-minute workout will get you results. Some days your workouts could be as short as 4 minutes and other days they could be up to 50 minutes. Classes are an hour long and are divided into comprehensive warm ups, skills sessions and end off with the workouts.
