Why I love Crossfit:

My favourite part of CrossFit is watching people change their perspectives and approach to training. Many gym-goers go in with the mindset that it’s all about how they look, but CrossFit often creates a shift in this mindset where people focus on how they are performing and getting stronger. In my experience, this leads to a positive feedback loop where people look better because they feel better about their actions.

Back squats!

Fun fact:

I play chess online (not that I am much good), and I enjoy tasting different craft beers (I have a photo album of all the beers I taste).

Why I love Crossfit:

Firstly, functional strength training has helped me with injury prevention after years of pounding the track and field. The variety of movements provided in CrossFit means it never gets boring and there are always new skills to master. Finally, the community! It’s the people that will keep you coming back for more.

why I love Biokinetics:

I love that I get to use exercise as a treatment for injury rehabilitation, chronic illness & pain management, and general well-being because it creates a sense of empowerment for the patient. They’re feeling better and improving their physical functioning and quality of life through their hard work and effort.

There are so many reasons to love CrossFit, but what comes to mind is the incredible physical results that are acquired at CrossFit, the mutual camaraderie built, and the intense fun training which incorporates cardio, weights and strengthening.
